Decide what to do

Having decided to paint this photograph of bunting flags and sun umbrellas, I played around with colour options and cropped them to fit a square canvas (see below), and I ended up with two versions that I like equally — and so I’m now going to paint both of them.

Yes, I think Mr Hubbard makes a very good point.

My right to be odd

These WIPs show the transition of yesterday’s kitten sketch from the initial drawing through to the final image. I realise that the blown highlights make the kitten look a little odd ~ but because they are one of the reasons I like the photograph, I wanted to retain them in the sketch.
