I don’t really know what I’m doing but I don’t let that stop me.
I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t painting or drawing or writing or making something but it wasn’t until 2009 that I began to consider making art my career. I studied art and graphic design at the Design & Arts College of New Zealand and completed my Communication Arts and Design Diploma in 2012. This blog began as a way of putting my student portfolio online and now it helps me to keep track of my creative journey.
My paintings tend to be landscapes, seascapes, urban scenes and, more recently, abstracts. They can be anything that catches my eye or tickles my imagination. I love experimenting with colour and texture and I am passionate about inspiring others to explore their own creativity and to see beauty in ‘ordinary’ and unexpected places.
I exhibit work regularly at local art shows and I am thrilled that my paintings are in private collections in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Commissions are always welcome.
Thanks for stopping by,
