I don’t really know what I’m doing but I don’t let that stop me.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t painting or drawing or writing or making something but it wasn’t until 2009 that I began to consider making art my career. I studied art and graphic design at the Design & Arts College of New Zealand and completed my Communication Arts and Design Diploma in 2012. This blog began as a way of putting my student portfolio online and now it helps me to keep track of my creative journey.

My style is representational with a twist ~ explorations of colour, texture, and light ~ impressions of a subject rather than photorealism. I specialise in nature art, landscapes, word art, and abstracts. I am passionate about inspiring others to explore their own creativity and to see beauty in ‘ordinary’ and unexpected places.

I sell my work on Etsy and exhibit work from time to time at local art shows. My paintings are in private collections all around the world. Commissions are always welcome.

Thanks for stopping by,
Anna
