Blue moon is now for sale

I read somewhere that there are two definitions of ‘blue moon’ and apparently neither one will occur in 2014. I guess that makes this particular blue moon a rare event indeed! It is freshly varnished and now for sale on Etsy.
Shoot it, Sketch it: Blue moon
The inspiration for this painting was an arty version of a photograph I edited many moons ago in Corel Photo-Paint. It’s not for sale yet because it’s not varnished. It was too blimmin’ cold to do any varnishing last week… so I hope to varnish it — AND another one I’ve just finished that I can’t wait to show you — in the next couple of days.
My thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s ‘what would you like me to draw again’ poll. The results are in and I’m happy to announce that ‘Snowflakes’ will be my next ink and watercolour project. I’ll let you know how I get on.
Without breaking
Mount Grey

This morning’s offering is not my usual Shoot it, Sketch it because I didn’t take the photograph that inspired the painting (which is why I haven’t posted it) ― I did, of course, obtain permission to use the photo for the commission. And as much as I love mountains, this time it’s all about the trig station!
