“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” Scott Adams

The first image was created by following a tutorial on Tuts+ (the design is based on street artist Shepard Fairey’s Obama campaign posters). The second image was a mistake* I made when messing around with layers in Illustrator.

*Visit this post if you would like to know what I really think about mistakes.

Not so sure

“…it’s easier to do trivial things that are urgent than it is to do important things that are not urgent (like thinking) and it’s also easier to do little things we know we can do than to start on big things that we’re not so sure about.” John Cleese

I’m raiding the vaults to find images to illustrate some of my favourite quotes ― and there are plenty more where this came from.

Wearable art and a confession

Hello. My name is Anna and I am addicted to creating Etsy treasuries.

Since my first treasury (i.e. a gallery of items for sale on Etsy) six weeks ago, I’ve put together more than a dozen of them. Why is it so addictive? I get to design mini galleries based on any theme I choose, I’m getting to know other sellers on Etsy, I’m finding lots of inspiration AND I get to go shopping. Naturally, my treasuries feature a lot of art and photography, but they are full of other stuff too ― things that catch my eye that I think are beautiful, interesting, well designed or just a lot of fun.

The one below is from a few days ago. Check out those Versace boots!
