This little seagull is now for sale has now sold on Etsy. I took some more photographs and I’m a lot happier with the colours this time around (click here to see my original post).
I’m thinking of making this a series with different background colours and canvas sizes ― but there are so many other painting projects waiting in the wings (so to speak), it may be a while before the next seagull gets off the ground (sorry, I really need to get out more).

This morning’s offering is not my usual Shoot it, Sketch it because I didn’t take the photograph that inspired the painting (which is why I haven’t posted it) ― I did, of course, obtain permission to use the photo for the commission. And as much as I love mountains, this time it’s all about the trig station!

I’ve become rather fond of this little bird. I first sketched him a year ago (click on the photo to visit the original blog post). As you can see, I’ve played around with the colours a bit. I’ll be offering it for sale after I’ve finished the sides and given it a couple of coats of varnish…
