Open the door (word prompts)

Last week I started a new challenge called the Six-Word Story Challenge. The daily word prompts come from Megan Rutell on Page Flutter. I have decided to begin with the January prompts, so I’ve got a bit of catching up to do. I will be posting them in batches here as well as posting a few of my favourites over on Instagram.

1. Morning walks sound lovely, don’t they?

2. Pause. Rewind. Fast Forward. Stop. Play.

3. Open the door. It’s a metaphor.

4. Secrets kept her from being lonely.

5. “Ping” went the inbox. Holiday’s over.

6.  She didn’t care. She went anyway.

7.  Listen. Do you hear it too?

[Prompts: morning walks, pause, open door, secret spot, inbox, tagalong, the listener.]

Happy 6th Annaversary

“Why should a painter work if he is not transformed by his own painting.” Keith Haring

My WordPress blog turns six today! Not that I’ve been on WordPress much this year. Life continues away from my little blog but I do miss it. No excuses — I’ve simply been elsewhere doing other things — but I couldn’t let the anniversary slide by without acknowledging it. Six years!

Quite a lot has been going on… I just don’t have much to ‘show’ for it. Yet. Ever the optimist : )

I am still surrounded by art and making art, although it tends to be mostly digital these days, and I will be taking a few of my paintings of the non-digital variety along to the Christchurch Art Show again this year. Not much else to report, really. But it is good to be back here in WordPressLand. Maybe I’ll get back into this blogging thing again. Maybe…
