Have I mentioned how much I’m enjoying the Shoot it, Sketch it challenge? I’ve now painted four of the photographs I took in Nelson/Golden Bay last Christmas. All were taken with art projects in mind but have been in the ‘I will get around to these one day’ pile. It is very satisfying to have the bird of paradise, leaf study, toy museum and this random texture marked off the list.
Also participating in Shoot it, Sketch it are Clouds of Colour, The Little Leaf, Lunch Sketch and Poppytump.
nice textures
Wow awesome work Anna – I have been so flat out I didn’t get 1 done this week! 😦 Hopefully I’ll be all good for next week 🙂
Thanks, Alana. Painting this was a bit like being in the eye of a (festive) storm – a little bit of calm in an otherwise chaotic week. Great therapy.
And so you didn’t post a sketch this week – that’s completely understandable. I see that you did manage to post some lovely photos of your Christmas tree decorations though : )
Yes – I had some close ups I was looking forward to posting, But I knew exactly what I wanted to draw this week, just didn’t get a chance to sit down & do it 🙂
they have all been wonderful but this one is especially awesome.xx
Love the concept and colours!
No entry from me this week. Been busy enjoying my holidays and my sketch of Ofelia took a little longer than I thought. Maybe next week, as I also really enjoy it!
I like this acrylic painting very subtle colours ! Love the extras Anna 🙂
It’s good to have an incentive to get on with stuff !
Awesome Anna!!! 😀
Anna this is amazing! I thought both were photographs until I read your post. I love the muted colours you’ve used too.
Beautiful your texture, it looks so real that you would want to touch it!
