Here is a second random texture for Shoot it, Sketch it. The inspiration was my photo of a manual telephone exchange/switchboard we discovered at a machinery museum a couple of years ago. It was an odd museum too — a collection of old farm machinery and equipment that seemed abandoned and forgotten. There was no one around and yet it was unlocked and ‘open’. Donations welcome.
I’ve shown the final painting (above) as well as various stages (below).

Also participating in Shoot it, Sketch it are Clouds of Colour, The Little Leaf, Lunch Sketch and Poppytump.
I’m always amazed how we all come up with different types of sketches !
Thanks for showing the steps Anna . Funny thing is – I would have had no idea what it was from the start … maybe I’m not quite out of the ark yet lolol
I really like it . 🙂
And why would you know what it is? I think these were around in the 1940s! Or so my research tells me : ) I’m glad you like it.
Lovely and rusty looking Anna. At first I thought it was an antique cupboard with lots of tiny drawer pulls on it. I’ve only seen a telephone exchange in old 40’s movies I think.
Fascinating, step by step!
I love this. It would look fantastic hanging on y wall. 🙂
I like the structure to this super-creative pic!
Nice work Anna!
