I’m running out of suitable images to miniaturise in Photoshop. Here we are in 2007!

  1. I think I get it, at least as well as a non-artist can. To oversimplify, you select a focus section and the software blurs things outside of the focus section giving the illusion of miniaturization, right?

    1. That’s basically it, yes… only in reverse. You select a blur section (with soft edges) and mess around with the colours to make it look more artificial. The trick, really, is not so much the lens blur effect — it’s picking the right photo.
