I’m in the middle of working on the large painting I mentioned last week ― a very exciting and all-consuming commission ― so until I have something else to show you, here are a few WIPs of ‘Thursday (Avon River)’…

I had something quite different in mind when I started this ― yes, I wanted bold, but I hadn’t counted on there being an explosion in the paint factory. I’ve thought about tweaking it here and there, taming some of the bright colours and lightening the water, but my husband really likes it and won’t let me touch it again ; )
Interesting process as well as result
Love the colours!
Love those water reflections Anna ! I’d never have guess there a mauve underpainting here .
Super charged with colour 🙂
This is very cool Anna, really enjoy seeing the WIPs. Looks like a Van Gogh – awesome water reflections and color.
Oh wow! Thank you, Mary : ) He’s one of my art heroes! You’ve made my day : )
Yep. Leave it alone. Love the contrast between the water and all that texture in the trees.
