This week’s sketch was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to see how watercolour behaved when applied to art board. Now I know. The biggest surprise was just how much water I could wash over the surface without it buckling.
All it needed was a little poem to finish it off (so I wrote one).

Awwwwesome work Anna. You are so clever! And I love the extra touch your poem has on the painting 🙂
Beautiful work 🙂
Your lovely painting and poem are very complementary together Anna ! I love seeing how people ‘simplify’ their sketches to great effect .
Love it! Nice work.
Oh this came out really well! Love it.
I’m getting very motivated to try some line and wash sometime in near future : )
BTW, thanks for dropping by and liking my art.
Thanks. And you’re welcome.
Beautiful Anna, I love your poem too.
I like the delicate Japanesey effect and your words. A card, perhaps? Liked. :O)
