I find Dunedin’s beautiful architecture endlessly interesting ~ there’s so much character and variety in those houses… and you know how I love to paint trees!

I like this piece – nice job! I’m taking a course on “Domestika” in architectural drawing. I found a book online by the guy teaching the course, Carlo Stanga. The book is “I am Milan” and I found a used copy for $3…it is SO cool. The course is great too – even though I’ve been painting for more than 55 years, I’m still learning new things from Carlo. You might enjoy the (self-paced) class – if you can’t find it, email me.
Thanks, Phil : ) I will investigate.
P.S. I tracked down the drawing course and discovered Domestika is having a sale! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I now have THREE courses to amuse myself with over summer : )
Nice! What else did you decide to try? When I finish the Architectural Drawing, I might try something else…
I have Carlo’s other course, Artistic Perspective: Interior Spaces, which came in a bundle with Portrait Sketchbooking by Gabriela Niko ~ I’ve been watching Portrait Artist of the Year (UK) and I really don’t ‘do’ faces, so that will be a challenge : )
interesting, I’ve been practising faces lately because I need to improve that skill – will look at the course you signed up for. ta
